Privacy Policy — Deutsch Wortlernen

TL;DR

Deutsch Wortlernen does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your progress lives only on your iPhone. No accounts, no analytics, no third-party trackers.

What data we collect

None.

All learning state — words seen, correct answers, streaks, achievements — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple’s SwiftData. The data never leaves your iPhone. We do not have servers that receive your information.

Third-party services

Deutsch Wortlernen makes one type of network request on first launch and occasionally afterwards: it downloads a static dictionary file (a1.json, a2.json, etc.) from jsDelivr, a public Content Delivery Network that serves the public GitHub repository ilya-promo/deutsch-wortlernen-content.

These requests contain:

• The URL of the dictionary file
• Standard HTTP metadata (user-agent, IP address — sent by your network, not by the app)

These requests contain no personally identifiable information from the app itself. jsDelivr’s privacy practices apply to that connection: see https://www.jsdelivr.com/terms/privacy-policy-jsdelivr-net.

Push notifications

If you opt in to “Дружелюбные пуши” in the app’s Settings, Deutsch Wortlernen schedules reminders locally on your device using iOS’s UserNotifications framework. These are scheduled by the app itself, not delivered through Apple Push Notification service. No server is involved.

You can turn notifications off at any time in the app’s Settings or via iOS Settings → Notifications → Wortlernen.

Microphone, camera, contacts, location

The app does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, photos, location, calendar, or any other system-level sensor or data source.

Cookies and tracking technologies

The app does not use cookies. There are no embedded analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Mixpanel, Adjust, AppsFlyer, etc.). No advertising, no IDFA, no tracking.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and collects no data, making it safe for children under 13. Parents do not need to provide consent because no data is collected.

Your rights

You can delete all your data by uninstalling the app — there is no copy on any server. Within the app, you can also tap Settings → “Сбросить весь прогресс” to wipe your progress without uninstalling.

Changes to this policy

If we ever start collecting data (we do not currently plan to), this page will be updated and a notice will appear in the app’s Settings before the change takes effect.
